Dear Cassidy (or maybe Isabella or Annabella),
In 3.5 months, you will definitely have a name, I promise! We are getting the tiles down this week. I took today off work as it was the first-day Roddick (builder/tiler) comes. It's been a very relaxing day!
I did some of my assignment (Diploma of Counselling), read some of my books, Bryce Courtney The Persimmon Tree, and I have played one game on the PlayStation about 50 times to get your dad another star (Call of Duty) but failed every single time! Came close though!
The weekend was good. We went to a friend's 24th birthday and your dad was playing catch-ups all night as everyone had started drinking at 4pm and we didn't arrive until 8pm. He started on vodka and lemonade which wasn't his normal drink of choice and then moved on to his friend's dad's homemade wine, which must have been really strong as he caught up to everyone else pretty quickly!
It was so funny, your dad is always adamant not to get into the pool as he is too body conscious, so his friends dragged him into the pool instead, kicking and fully clothed!
Once he was in, he was so puffed, as was everyone else though, and then they all wrestled with each other. Pure testosterone. It didn't take long for him to be all smiles though. Your dad is so beautiful when he really smiles. I wish he would more often.
Checking his back the next day though, he had scratches and grazes all over him. I'm expecting your dad home soon, so I should get a start on dinner and maybe fixing his shirt!
You will be 25 weeks old on Friday, it's so scary, in 15 weeks you will be born and I will have no idea! All I can hope for is that I give you a happier upbringing than I had!
Love always
Mum
xoxo
My current self-interrupting! Why didn't I leave 7 years ago? Because of days like this. This journal entry shows there was some good, the relationship wasn't all bad, and it was days like this that I hung onto when shit turned ugly.
Was this the first entry you read. Head back to the start to get the full picture.
