Journals of a domestic violence victim.
Journals of a domestic violence victim.
8 years of emotional, psychological and financial abuse. The journals show deep sorrow, depression, and hope for a better future.
Follow a mum's journey through pregnancy, going to university and finally making the decision to leave for good.
For domestic violence victims, not all days are bad days. The journey is intertwined with good days, months and even years, but the toxicity always returns.
If you know someone who has a secret of domestic violence, encourage them to talk to you about it. Encourage them to leave. Encourage them to love themselves more than the hope that one day, they will change.
If you are being abused, find your escape plan, and put it into action. Talk to someone you can trust, and remember, life is too short to have it wasted, trust me.
